Episode 26 - Cop cars for cops only

I don’t understand why cops drive around in Crown Victoria’s that are modified to fit a cops needs. OK maybe I do, because they are cheap to produce, they have good gas mileage, they have enough power, and they can buy them by the dozen.

Why can’t a company make a car with all those features and a few more designed for a cops needs. I’m not sure what those needs are (leave comments and talk about them if you know some) but they should have a car made for them rather than crap modified for them.
